With the aim of modernizing the link between Île d’Orléans and the city of Quebec, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) has commissioned the Île-d’Orléans Heritage Group General Partnership (EBC/Dragados) to build the new bridge. ABS, through the consortium, is the firm commissioned to carry out a geotechnical and geophysical investigation campaign. This campaign also includes numerous piezocone penetration tests and control drilling for the installation of future caisson piles on which the bridge piers will rest.
